In order to have an organized fire department with little tax burden, three companies were formed: Engine, Hook & L adder, and Hose. Each company was assigned specific roles when responding to fire calls.
The first chief of the department was HJ Cuykendall; the first president, Frank A. Hopkins. Six months to the day after founding, the Victor Fire Department responded to its first fire at the cooper shop and home of George Murphy.
The Victor Fire District will provide professional, definitive, and helpful service in all emergencies that we are called to respond, with in and outside our fire protection district.
The District is committed to providing exceptional guidance and support to the volunteers..
The Victor Fireman’s Field is located on Maple Avenue in the village of Victor and is privately owned by the Victor Fire Department, Inc. The field is primarily used for training by the members of the Victor Fire Department.
